Tom Hanks rushes to protect wife Rita Wilson while aggressive fans nearly knock her down

Tom Hanks yelled at an aggressive fan and rushed to protect his wife after a mob overturned her while she was in New York on Wednesday.

The typically poised actor, 65, turned around and yelled at fans to ‘fuck off’ after he and Rita Wilson, 65, were attacked in front of a restaurant in Midtown.

A shocking moment comes in the middle a constant concern about Tom’s health, after being filmed visibly shaking and unable to control his arm earlier this month.

As the couple left the restaurant, a large crowd formed that rushed towards them, and one member of the public got too close and hit Rita, causing her to lose her footing.

As she rocked to her feet and tried to pull herself together, she shouted ‘stop!’ and raised her hands.

After hurrying to see if Rita was okay, Tom turned to the crowd and shouted, ‘my wife? Back fuck! To overturn my wife ?! ‘ before the couple quickly ran into a waiting car.

Although the Oscar-winning actor did not respond, one shy fan shouted “sorry about that, Tom” as the couple rushed.

Tom and Rita have been married for 34 years and have two sons, Cheta (31) and Truman (25). They first met on the set of ABC’s sitcom Bosom Buddies in 1981 and became friends before their relationship became romantic.

The couple had dinner together after attending a screening of the film Elvis earlier in the evening. Tom was hired on a promotional trail for an upcoming biographical film about Presley starring Colonel Tom Parker, Elvis ’manager.

Earlier in the afternoon, Tom showed off his skinny build in a baggy T-shirt and baseball cap as he embarked on a solo walk through Manhattan out of concern for his health.

Fears arose when he seemed unable to control the trembling in his arm during a a promotional event for his new film, Elvis.

He appeared at a screening in Brisbane with director Baz Luhrmann and colleague Austin Butler earlier this month, and his hand was visibly shaking as he spoke.

‘There’s no better place in the world to make a film than here on the Gold Coast,’ he said with a microphone in his right hand and his left in his pocket.

The actor has famously lost weight in the past because of movies, including his role as a resident of a desert island in Castaway and dying of AIDS in Philadelphia.

Tom is known for his hard preparations for his films, and it was unclear whether he recently lost weight due to a new role.

His next planned film is “Here” directed by Robert Zemeckis, in which he will star alongside Robin Wright.

‘Located in one room, it follows many people who have inhabited it for years and years, from the past to the future,’ reads the film’s synopsis on IMDB.

Tom’s most dramatic weight loss was for Castaway in 2000, when he lost £ 50, and in the 1993 film Philadelphia, for which he lost £ 35.

He also gained weight – especially for the 1992 film A League of Their Own, when he gained 30 pounds.

Tom revealed in 2013 that he had been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, which he said was ‘lazy’ and ‘idiot’.

He told then-Late Show host David Letterman, ‘I went to the doctor, and he said,‘ You know those high blood sugar numbers you’ve been facing since you were 36? Well, you graduated! You have type 2 diabetes, young man. “

The shaking of the beloved actor led one doctor to tell DailyMail.com that it could be an early sign of Parkinson’s disease.

Dr Stuart Fischer, a Yale University graduate with four years of experience in emergency medicine who is now the medical director of two nursing homes in New York City, said the recordings in Australia suggest degenerative disease.

‘Parkinson’s would be most important to most doctors,’ he told DailyMail.com after looking at the footage.

‘This trembling hand can be an early sign of illness. One would think he would be on his way to a neurologist’s office now, if he hadn’t already.

‘It can take weeks, months or years before it progresses. It could be like with the famous conductor James Levine, it took many years for the tremor of the legs to turn into a physical manifestation. ‘

He said the shiver could be a shiver, but given Tom’s age, that’s unlikely.

“Another condition that could be is essential tremor, but it usually occurs at a younger age – although it can be exacerbated by anxiety and stress,” he said. ‘It usually affects people in their 20s and 30s.’

Asked if it could be related to Tom’s diabetes, he said: ‘It has nothing to do with type 2 diabetes. I’ve never heard of it.’

He also ruled out that it was related to Tom who previously had COVID.

Robert H. Eckel, a board member of the American Diabetes Association and former president of the American Heart Association, told DailyMail.com that, in general, people with diabetes could shake if their blood sugar gets too low.

Volume representatives have yet to respond to DailyMail.com’s request for comment.

In several television appearances to promote the Elvis film, Tom noticeably holds his hands together most of the time.

On June 13, Tom and his colleague Austin appeared at the GMA, talking to hosts from Graceland after a special screening for the Presley family.

On May 31, the couple was in London talking to the BBC show The One Show. In Australia, earlier this month, audiences liked his stories about filming in their city.

“I made films in Morocco and Los Angeles, New York and Seattle and Berlin.

“None of them have what the Gold Coast has, and what is it?” Two words. None of these other cities have Murphy’s Day, ‘said Dan Murphy’s, referring to the beverage chain.

‘What a man I knew well,’ he said to applause.

As his hand shook, Tom tried to control it by placing his left hand on the bottom of the microphone, below his right. He also briefly tried to change hands.

The audience didn’t seem to notice it, as Tom delighted them by stating, ‘We had an absolutely magnificent time with all of you.

‘There’s something in the people and place of the Gold Coast that makes everyone walk around with a confident expression on their face. We were a part of it.

‘Your confidence, joy and desire for life come to the fore in our film.’

He added: ‘You have a wonderful proactive golden son in Baz Luhrmann who loves Australia more than kangaroos, more than Dan Murphy.’

Tom famously played a World War II soldier with PTSD in Rescue Soldier Ryan, whose hands were visibly shaking due to the tremendous stress he suffered.

At one point, Tom’s character, Captain Miller, tells Sergeant Horvath that the shivering ‘comes and goes’.

Horvath replies, ‘You may have to find a new job. This one doesn’t seem to agree with you anymore. ‘

After its Australian premiere, Toms returned to the United States, where the film was shown in Graceland on June 11.

“The only reason I’m here, it’s done right,” Lisa Marie Presley said, praising Luhrmann and Butler’s interpretation of her father’s story.

‘I was pretty young, but I still remember my father’s energy and his vibrations. And Austin, he – what’s the word? – he succeeded. ‘

She said Butler’s success in that role was at odds with Elvis ’previous attempts on screen.

‘In my life, there has been one disappointment after another, in terms of people interpreting my father. Good on their hearts, I’m sure they meant well. ‘
