The world’s largest fundraiser for Down Syndrome to help

Denver, CO, June 21, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Today, the Global Down Syndrome Foundation (GLOBAL) announced celebrities Caterina Scorsone i John C. McGinley will attend the annual Be Beautiful Be Yourself fashion show, the largest fundraiser for Down syndrome in the world. In his 14th The award-winning event will be held in person on Saturday, November 12, at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel. Revenues benefit GLOBAL’s research and life-saving and transformative medical care.

This year, an inspiring event will honor the GLOBAL Ambassador Micah Quinones, a young model who happens to have a double diagnosis of Down syndrome and autism. He is the son of a supermodel, actress and GLOBAL spokesperson and chair of the 2022 Event. Amanda Boothand creative director and brand strategist Mike Quinones. At just eight years old, Micah was already introduced along with his parents People Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, Parents, and other national media and has modeled for fashion companies like Dôen.

Award-winning Grey’s Anatomy star Eric Dane and Author and self-advocate David Egan will get the biggest part of GLOBAL – the Quincy Jones Exceptional Advocacy Award. Previous recipients include Jamie Foxx, Caterina Scorsone, Colin Farrell, John C. McGinley, Eva Longoria, Kyra Phillipsi Beverly Johnson.

Eric Dane is best known for his role as Dr. Mark Sloan in the ABC hit drama series, Gray’s anatomy, for which he won the Film Actors Association Award and was nominated for the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Actor on Cable Television. He has also acted in popular films such as Valentine’s Day i burlesque, and TV shows including The last ship and, more recently, highly regarded Euphoria. Dane is an active philanthropist and a longtime supporter of GLOBAL and the Down Syndrome community.

David Egan is a successful athlete, author, public speaker, and lifelong advocate for people with Down syndrome. He has served as the international global spokesman for Special Olympics Sargent Shriver and public policy associate Joseph P. Kennedy Jr., and is an active participant in research and working with a consortium of the National Institute of Down Syndrome Health. Egan has led several GLOBAL research symposia and is a member of the GLOBAL Acceptance Gala Committee. He recently published his first book, More similar than different: My life with Down syndrome, which has been a success with both critics and audiences.
