Zara Tindall and her husband Mike Tindall have a family house on this the basics Princess AnneGatcombe Park estate, but before they lived there, they lived in Hallery House in Cheltenham – which was an incredibly special place to live.

The couple announced their engagement in front of the house in December 2010, but the house itself remained private until it was put up for sale years later. The list explains that it is a rare property as a detached town house, and the royal family sold the house for 1.2 million pounds in 2013, but by 2017 it was worth an incredible 1.69 million pounds. The town hall is listed as a second-class property, located on four floors with almost 5,000 square meters of space. Nick Chivers of Knight Frank who listed the property said Daily mail“The Tyndals haven’t been here that long, but they’ve renovated it to what it is now.

The current owners bought it from them and continued to improve it by building a double garage that completes the package. The house is detached, which is quite rare for town houses in Cheltenham, and there are many great facilities nearby. The basement could be used as a separate detached apartment, so it is a huge flexible property.

Living room

The stunning living room has triple floor-to-ceiling sash windows, intricate ceiling moldings and a large wood burner in the middle of the room. Mike and Zara also furnished the space with a unique pebble coffee table and glass top, which sat on a cowhide rug.


The interior of the house has a spacious master bedroom as well as six additional bedrooms. The main apartment has three huge bay windows with wing shutters, and is decorated with creamy walls and wooden floors. Nick Chivers of Knight Frank added that Mike and Zara designed the property to look exactly as it did at the time. “The Tyndalls did a great job of looking very nice,” he said.

Another bedroom in the home follows the same muted color scheme, with a wooden bed frame and a cream chest of drawers painted with a floral design.

According to the previous census of the house, the kitchen was the main selling point. There is “a large island with polished concrete worktops and Gaggenau and Fisher Paykel appliances. The kitchen opens onto the adjoining dining room and both have a view of the garden.”


The main upstairs bathroom has gray marble tiles, light gray walls, a huge rain shower and a freestanding white bathtub. Mike and Zara also had their own and her sinks.


Mike and Zara’s former estate also boasts its own gym and large jacuzzi.


The Tyndals had their own home theater, with a large flat-screen projector screen and a comfortable brown L-shaped sofa.


Mike and Zara had a spiral staircase with white wooden railings, white stairs and a cream and brown staircase.
