The family did not argue publicly Ozzy had to undergo a medical procedure, but Sharon admitted that Ozzy was “feeling well” for about 30 minutes before her husband posted it online.

Sharon also included a classic retrospective recording of Ozzy standing behind a microphone ready to sound one of his hit songs.

“Our family wants to express great gratitude for the tremendous amount of love and support that led to Ozzy’s surgery,” she wrote on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon, one day after the procedure.

“Ozzy is fine and on the road to recovery. Your love means the whole world to him,” she added with emoji hands praying.

Sharon, which will release a four-part a documentary series on the culture of cancellation later this year, he indicated that Ozzy was involved in a challenging situation last week and would need major surgery. She immediately flew back to the West Coast from London to be with him.

“He has a big operation on Monday, and I have to be there,” she told her colleagues on the TalkTV panel last week. “It will really determine his rest of his life.”

Since then, a report has emerged stating that the procedure was to remove and re-align the pegs on his neck and back. “Ozzy is 73 years old and any kind of surgery when you get old is difficult,” the source said Page Six.

“This is pretty important. He has pins in his neck and back straightened again since he fell in 2019.”

“He’s been in a lot of pain,” a source said of Ozzy’s physical condition lately and that he will also need a “long recovery” with 24-hour care to be provided by a nurse at home.

Ozzy’s back problems probably stemmed from an off-road vehicle collision in 2003 when he overturned his quad while driving around his London estate.

He had to undergo emergency surgery because of “a broken collarbone, eight broken ribs that pinched key blood vessels and damaged cervical vertebrae.”

“I’m just waiting for more neck surgery,” he said Classic Rock magazine in May. “I can’t walk properly these days. I have physical therapy every morning. I’m a little better, but nowhere near as much as I want to get back on the road.”

Asked if he had ever thought about his own mortality, Ozzy said he felt optimistic about his future as he looked back.

“With f-ing 73, I did pretty well,” he said. “I’m not planning on going anywhere, but my time will come. “
