NICOLA Coughlan and Jessie Buckley wowed at the Met Gala 2022 as they led Irish stars on the red carpet.
Derry Girls star Nicola looked sensational as she stepped out in a black and pink dress complete with black gloves.
The extravagant number showed off beautiful puffed sleeves and was fitted at the waist with a black cape hanging off her shoulders.
Adding some fun to the piece were small black and pink feathers which stuck out around the Galway native, reminiscent of feather boas in 1920s glamor.
This year’s event followed the theme In America: An Anthology of Fashion and as always was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
Nicola shared a clip from the Met Gala on her Instagram and realized how far she had come.

She wrote: “Good at times like this to remember I used to work in a Spar.”
Also putting a fun spin on her outfit was Jessie Buckley who turned out in a pinstripe suit by Schiaparelli.
The Northern Irish actress completed the look with a hat and drawn on mustache.
Normal People star Paul Mescal showed off an all-black ensemble as he posed with his rumored fiancé Phoebe Bridgers.
Phoebe looked stunning in a silver sequin gown with spiral detailing.
She finished the look with slicked back hair and her signature dark red lipstick.
Phoebe and Paul are thought to be engaged after she recently introduced him as her fiancé.
A partygoer claims the singer made no secret of the fact they were set to tie the knot as she attended a bash during Coachella.
Phoebe is said to have been calling Paul her fiancé as they mingled with fellow guests in California.
KARDASHIANS STEAL LIMELIGHT
American celebrities also looked sensational at the Met Gala with Kim Kardashian stealing the show.
Kim looked absolutely stunning wearing Marilyn Monroe’s iconic $ 5m dress.
The last of her famous family to arrive, the billionaire makeup mogul walked arm-in-arm with her boyfriend, Pete Davidson.
In another nod to the Hollywood Legend, Kim had dyed her hair platinum blonde.

Making her Met Gala debut, Chris Jenner kept things sophisticated and simple as the first of the KarJenners to arrive.
She showcased a new, longer hairstyle as she channeled Jackie Kennedy in a pale yellow ensemble by Oscar de la Renta.
