Two comedians had a public contract dispute last month about who was supposed to close the Detroit show they were both booked for. Mo’Nique claimed that according to the contract she signed, she should have been the main one, but DL made it clear that if she really closes the Fox Theater play, he will not perform.
The Parkers the star shot at DL Hughley after his comments. While you are on stage she said shockingly, “The contract said he was a bi ** h headliner. Headliner. Mo’Nique is the headliner. That’s what I signed up for. I’ve been in this business for 30 years and I don’t open up to anyone. There was a headliner in the contract, but a ** h ni ** a named DL Hughley said ‘I will not perform if she is the headline’. “
She added: “We have a history. You see, that prince went on tour saying everything Mo’Nique didn’t. You can now do it on Google. His name is DL. What do you think that means? How much do you bend over? ”
In response, Hughley posted it on Instagram where he posted a now-deleted clip of Mo’Nique from her infamous Oscar-winning film role. Precious.
“All you have to do is check the order of the names on last night’s ticket and see who is confused,” he wrote in the headline. second post. “Against my better judgment, due to my team’s objections and 4 other occasions where I said NO, I decided to take a risk and work with Monique. Oprah was the problem, Tyler Perry was the problem, Charlamagne was the problem, Steve Harvey was the problem, Lee Daniels was the problem, Netflix was the problem … Now it’s my turn. At some point it can’t be everyone else, IT’S YOU !! Lesson learned. I had nothing personally against Monique … People paid a lot of money to laugh without hearing about your contract. It seems that the role you played in PRECIOUS was an autobiography. I wonder who’s next. “
Mo’Nique retaliated once again against Hughley, but spoke on a sensitive topic in connection with an interview that revealed that his daughter had been sexually abused by a family friend. The comedian received stab wounds in the DL in the long run Instagram rant saying, “It’s funny to me that DL will name ICE CUBE, KANYE, RIZZA ISLAM, ANGELA STANTON, SEBE, ETC., but he won’t name the person who abused his daughter.”
Ryan Nicole Shepard, Hughley’s eldest daughter, replied to Mo’Nique’s callous post with a lengthy commentary that quite summed up the comedian as “intentionally vicious and harmful” among the chosen words “poisonous” and “disgusting” for her behavior.
Mo’Nique he replied that Shepard welcomed them to discuss their differences.
“Hey young sister THANK YOU FOR THE INVITATION TO DISCUSSION. I WOULD LIKE TO LOOK AT YOU. BECAUSE IT COULD BE VERY HEALING FOR OUR COMMUNITY. LET @realdlhughley TAKE TIME FOR YOU, YOUR FAMILY, MY HUSBAND AND ME, TO COME TO HIS SHOW AND WE WILL FROM THEN.
