Matt Wright’s Wilderness: A Moment of ‘Ballistic’ Crocodiles Strike Matt Wright

Matt Wright’s Wild Territory follows the journey of conservationist Matt Wright, who aims to preserve wildlife and protect people in dangerous terrain.

But, as the shooter knows all too well, sometimes things don’t go exactly as planned when you’re trying to catch and move an omnipotent crocodile into the wild.

In a recent episode – which you can watch the video above – Matt came face to face with a “young, angry crocodile” who couldn’t stand being harassed.

After spotting a 13-foot-tall crocodile in a floating trap, Matt tried to calmly tie a rope around his jaw to pull him out safely.

But the crocodile had none of that, flailing and gnashing its teeth as the shooter stood on the cage.

“That move just became ballistic there!” Matt exclaimed before calling for help.

“To be honest, I’m a little wary of this crocodile,” he told the camera.

“He’s not exactly a big crocodile, but I know from experience … the smaller they are, the faster and more aggressive they are.”

He further said that the male crocodile in the adolescent phase is “probably the most dangerous crocodile”, because they are “fast, thieving and uneducated”.

Soon, Matt was joined by another quarrelman, Jock, as the couple tried to get the crocodile back together – but things went from bad to worse.

Despite their efforts, the crocodile became increasingly angry and thrashed several times in the cage.

He only needed to take one step – open the cage and hope that by placing a rope around his jaw he would be able to control it from the outside.

“That’s exactly what we don’t want to happen!” Matt said after his rope loosened, leaving Jock as the only one in control of the mammoth animal.

But the crocodile did not fall without a fight, but continued to growl and manically strike at quarrels in an attempt to escape.

“Wow, wow, wow!” Soon Matt was heard shouting as the two men frantically tried to bring the young crocodile under control.
