Martha Stewart revealed on Wednesday that she did launching a new podcast with iHeartRadio.
“The Martha Stewart Podcast” will feature intimate conversations with some of her closest known friends.
The first episode, which will debut on June 22, will feature an interview with Stewart’s longtime friend Snoop Dogg.
In an exclusive interview with Insider ahead of the official announcement of the podcast, Stewart confirmed that the rapper and actor is her first guest on the show and even shared something new she learned about her longtime friend during their conversation.
“I said, you know, Snoop, when I go to a party, all people want to know is how Snoop Dogg is? And he said, ‘Do you want to know something, Martha? When I go to a party, everyone wants to know how it is. Martha ‘, she said about their conversation in the first episode of the podcast, which premiered on June 22.

Lifestyle guru Snoop also called her a “dream guest” for the new show. “Snoop “He was really good because he was talkative and I like his voice,” Stewart told Insider.
The couple had worked together before. They hosted two seasons of “Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party” on VH1 from 2016 to 2018, and Stewart wrote the preface to his 2018 book. “Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes from Tha Boss Dogg’s Kitchen.”

Stewart, who is new to the world of podcasting, explained what attracted her audio format. “I love the radio. I’ve always loved the radio. I listened to everything with my mother, from ‘The Lone Ranger’ to Dr. Melzer,” she told the Insider. “It was so interesting to me.”
Lifestyle guru plans to share some personal stories about her life on the show, but she really wants to use the platform to test her celebrity friends, including Kris Jenner, Alex Rodriguez, executive vice president Martha Stewart Living Omnimedi and executive design director Kevin Sharkey, photographer Douglas Friedman and horticulturist Dan Hinkley, all of whom have been announced as guests.
“It’s not so much about me. It’s about my curiosity about people and what they do and how they developed – how they built businesses, how they became famous or famous. That’s what I really want to convey on this podcast,” she said.
Stewart also mentioned some of the benefits of choosing a microphone instead of a camera. “For me as a type of performer, I don’t have to do my hair or make up“, She explained, adding that she hopes to present” friendly “talks that offer more than one point of view.
“You can just talk to your friends and have a great conversation,” Stewart said. “I can also share my friendships and my ability to talk to people like Snoop Dogg. Both A-Rod and Chris Jenner. I can talk to them in a friend-to-friend way and share that with my listeners.”
