Kate Hudson paid tribute to Kurt Russell for Father’s Day and his response is adorable

On Sunday, Kate Hudson shared a sweet honor on Father’s Day with her companions Kurt Russellher mother Goldie Hawnlong-term love.

“Fun, adventurous, passionate, determined, honest, loyal, amazing father and the best hair in Los Angeles,” she wrote with a retrospective photo of herself cuddling in bed with Russell. “We are happy! I love you dad! Happy Father’s Day. “

Kate was raised by her mother and Kurt, Goldie’s partner for almost 40 years. The Almost Famous star has distanced herself from her biological father, musician Bill Hudson.

Since Kurt is not present on social media, Goldie relayed a message to her daughter, before publicly sharing her candid response in comments for all to see.

“Honey, I showed this to Dad. Here is his message, ”Goldie wrote.

“Birdie, my mom just showed me this picture, this is the perfect gift for Father’s Day. I’ve never seen him before. Wow … that’s a killer, “Kurt said. “A lot of water under the bridge … it’s a little hard to see even though all the water seems to have somehow entered my eyes … thank you for making me the happiest father in the world, honey. I love you, Dad. ”

Goldie also posted a special greeting to Kurt on her Instagram page along with a photo of them kissing.

“How can I explain the gratitude and love I feel for the greatest father who gave us all so much in this life,” she wrote next to the photo.

Kate and her brother, actor Oliver Hudson, were born to Bill Hudson and Goldie Hon during the Hollywood couple’s marriage, which lasted from 1976 to 1982, but they both believe that Kurt Russell is their father.

Goldie and Kate also share a son, star The Falcon And The Winter Soldier Wyatt Russell. The Escape From New York actor is also the father of Boston’s son from a previous marriage to Season Hubley.

Over the years, Kate has repeatedly spoken of Kurt’s key role in her life, calling him “a great loyal protector” and “our trusted authentic captain” in fast for Father’s Day last year.

But the alienation from her biological father continues has great weight on the stars.

“I have a great family, I have a beautiful mother. I have a stepfather who jumped in and played a huge, big part in sharing what it means to have a reliable father in our lives, ”she said in an episode of Sunday Today with Willie Geist last year.

For Father’s Day, Kate shared an additional honor to his partner Danny Fujikawa on Instagram, posting a video of him with their three-year-old daughter Rani.

Just like her parents, Hudson has her own mixed family. She is also the mother of son Ryder (18), whom she shares with her ex-husband, musician Chris Robinson, and son Bingham (10) from a previous relationship with Muse frontman Matt Bellamy.
