Gogglebox Ellie Warner’s sweet birthday tribute to boyfriend after horror crash

Gogglebox star Ellie Warner has moved fans with her touching gesture to boyfriend Nat Eddleston after he was injured in a horror crash.

Nat was left fighting for his life after being mowed down by a white Seat Leon on March 18 during a night out in Leeds.

The 32-year-old was rushed to hospital with collapsed lungs and a broken neck and is suffering from suspected brain damage.

Long-term girlfriend Ellie has not left his side since and has not been on the Channel 4 hit show since the accident.

The Leeds hairdresser has now decided to use her birthday to raise money for a cause close to her heart.

Writing on her Facebook page with the title “El’s birthday fundraiser for Headway – the brain injury association”, Ellie said: “For my birthday this year, I’m asking for donations to Headway – the brain injury association.

“I’ve chosen this charity because their mission means a lot to me, and I hope you’ll consider contributing as a way of celebrating with me. Every little bit will help me reach my goal.

“I’ve included information about Headway – the brain injury association below.”

She added: “Headway’s mission is to promote understanding of all aspects of brain injury and to provide vital information, support and services to people with brain injury, their families and carers.”

She has raised more than £ 1,300 for the charity after 84 people generously donated.

One person who donated said, “Thinking of you all.”

Another said: “Lovely thing to do. You’re both in my thoughts every single day.”

Ellie and her sister Izzi have become firm fan favorites since they joined the Channel 4 show in 2015.

She is likely going to miss the rest of series 19however bosses said she will be paid her £ 1,500 show fee in full to put her mind at rest about money amid the ongoing circumstances.

The 31-year-old was recently spotted being comforted by friends at a Wetherspoons pub, the first time she had been seen publicly since the accident.

In their latest statement, West Yorkshire Police said inquiries into the incident “are ongoing”.
