Friendships do not last forever. David Dobrik sued by an ex-friend Jeff Wittek – which ended up in the hospital after the acrobatics went horribly wrong.
According to the documents he obtained Us WeeklyWittek, 32, is seeking $ 10 million in damages due to “general negligence and willful misconduct” after Dobrik (25) was allegedly absent from work due to intense injuries and maintained hospital bills.
A native of New York, he claims that he suffered facial fractures, eye damage and a broken skull after he was swung off a rope tied to an excavator in the influencer’s house in 2020. The document states that Dobrik spun the equipment at “unsafe speeds”, causing Wittek to collide with machines and suffered “countless injuries.” A video of the crash was then posted on YouTube, but has since been deleted.
Wittek spoke earlier about the alleged incident. In February, he revealed on social media that he had recently undergone his ninth operation.
“The operation went great! 9 less, 1 to the end! ” he wrote via Instagram next to the carousel with pictures yourself in the hospital. “I finally got one of these damn plates out of my eye!”
That same month, the comedian confirmed that he and Dobrik were no longer talking because the Slovak allegedly did not contact him after Vitek’s hospitalization.
“I woke up after the operation. The day passes, there is no message for him. Another day passes, without lyrics, ”Wittek said during an episode of his podcast“ JeffFM ”at the time. “I look at his Instagram and only he says,‘ Oh, I’m so happy with my life now ’and only [him] promotes your role. I just thought, you have time to do this, but you can’t text me and be like, ‘Hey, are you blind or not because of my actions?’ Even now, a week later, I haven’t heard a single spade. “
Wittek kept calling Dobrik, a “scum friend”, added: “I’ve been protecting this guy for so long and there’s a lot more to the story than not sending me a message for a week.”
The founder of David’s Perfume, for his part, spoke about the event on his podcast in March. “I wish I was up there. That is the saddest thing ever. And that’s bullshit – it’s an accident. That’s what it was. It’s an accident, ”he said, claiming that the whole stunt was originally Wittek’s idea.
This is not the first time Dobrik and his Vlog detachment they found themselves under fire. In March 2021, the accused woman Dominykas Zeglaitis (better known as “Durte Dom”) sexual assault. Zeglaitis was previously part of Dobrik’s inner circle, which together records content for YouTube, TikTok and other social media platforms.

While Dobrik initially said in the video that it was clear that the “five” would not happen after hanging out with the students, one of the women who met with the group that night has since stated that Zeglaitis raped her after she got with alcohol.
Dobrik later referred to the controversy in a two-minute video posted on his and Jason Nash’s Reviews channel, which has significantly fewer subscribers than its main YouTube, saying it “does not tolerate any kind of misconduct”.
