Bradley Cooper says the famous director made fun of him for winning seven Oscars: ‘Go F— Yourself’

Bradley Cooper revealed in a recent episode “SmartLess”Podcast (via IndieWire) that the famous director once mocked him because he had 7 Oscar nominations in his career. The incident happened at a party during Cooper’s. “A Star Is Born”Awards season. The musical drama increased Cooper’s Oscar nomination from four (three acting names and best film as a producer in “American Sniper”) to seven (actor, original screenplay and best film for “The Star is Born”).

At the awards ceremony, Cooper met with the famous director who joked about Cooper’s 7 Oscar nominations. Cooper was joined at the party by a friend, a famous actress, who had three Oscar nominations. The director said to Cooper: “In what world do we live in which you have 7 nominations, and she only has three?”

“I’m like, ‘Brother, why are you such an asshole?'” Cooper told SmartLess podcast hosts. “I would never forget that. Go fuck yourself. ”

Cooper has since added two more Oscar nominations, bringing his overall career result to 9. Cooper co-produced “The Joker” and “Nightmare Alley,” both of which made it to the race for Best Picture. Unfortunately, the director’s comment was not the first time that top Hollywood talent robbed Cooper’s history of winning Oscar nominations. The actor said that the “actress hero” once gave him a condescending comment after he received his first acting nomination for the “Silver Linings Playbook”.

‘She’s like,’ I watched your movie. You deserve that title, ‘said Cooper. ‘I was like,’ What? I’m sorry, what? ‘ ‘Nom.’ Then about 10 or 20 minutes later – I’m not kidding – I walked past her when she went to the bathroom and she said, ‘The nom.’ I remember [thinking]What the fuck is this town? ‘ Can you imagine telling that to someone? You have to be fucked to do it. ”

Cooper is generally expected to pick up even more Oscar nominations with his next directorial work, a Leonfars-based drama by Leonard Bernstein.Maestro. ” Cooper stars in the title role alongside Carey Mulligan as Bernstein’s wife Felicia Montealegre.

“Here’s the movie; a film about marriage, a film about family. That’s it, “Cooper said “SmartLess” podcast about his new film. “Why is it nuclear?” Because it’s this fucking music. Music is nuclear. I had a secret weapon in ‘The Star is Born’. It was Lady Gaga. The secret weapon I have in this movie is fucking Leonard Bernstein and Gustav Mahler. Music! ”

It is expected that “Maestro” will be published only in 2023.
