In an episode called ‘The Famous Five-Year Plan’, A-Train (Jessie T Usher) appeared in the commercial as part of his rebranding. The ad is for a soft drink brand called Turbo Rush.

In the ad, the A-Train takes place after a protest, where police in riot gear stand on patrol.

A-Train intervenes using his super speed to run up to the cops and he gives them a can of Turbo Rush. After a sip, the whole scene suddenly turns into fun.

Sounds familiar? Well you should. It is a pure parody of the infamous Kendall Jenner Pepsi commercial, which caused a ton of negative reactions back in 2017.

The day after the VIP screening, I interviewed the actors and, of course, had to be examined about a hysterical moment.

Here’s what they had to say…

PTV: All right, we have to talk about that scene Kendall Jenner. What was your reaction when you saw it in the script?

JACK: It is one thing to read and another to see. It was perfect to see how it was done. I giggled, it was amazing. It was so good.

KAREN: Maybe it’s one of my favorite moments. I live for those satirical moments.

JESSIE T: Believe it or not, it was inserted into the episode as bonus content.

Chance: Really !? It was just bonus content? Oh, it’s so good on the show!

JESSIE T: Yes! The script only implied that they wanted to show some footage there, but we didn’t know what they wanted it to be.

Chance: It probably turned out so great that they are had to put it there. That was certainly the highlight of that episode.

PTV: Do you think that will offend her?

JACK: Yes, probably. Yes.

KAREN: Do you think so !? I thought it was funny!

JACK: I don’t think it was a direct shot at her, I think it’s more of a corporatization of reasons. But at every level, that sequence just hits.

Okay, considering Kendall Jenner she was obviously angry at people mocking her cucumber slicing skillssomething tells me she won’t be kind to this.

But, I mean, play stupid games etc etc.

The third season of Boys is now airing Amazon Prime Videowith new eps coming out every week.
